     Welcome to my information blog about Naples, Italy for Americans and International people that will be working about living in Naples, Italy. First, let me say that this site is personal and has no offical sanction of the US government. This information is only about my personal experiences living in working in the Naples area.

     Living and working in Naples is an interesting experience and will be one that you will not forget. When I first saw my assignment listing, I started researching my available options. I had a choice between various bases in Germany, UK, and Naples. At the time the trash situation in Naples was horrible. The top results of all my searches showed piles of burning trash and people in the streets protesting over this situation. At first I told my wife that there was no way I wanted to go to Naples. However, she did her own searches and discovered that right outside of Naples, within close distance, were some of the most amazing places in the world. She convinced me that this might not be a bad assignment after all. We decided that we could do the work thing Monday thru Friday and on the weekends get out of town and visit Rome, Pompeii, Amalfi Coast, and the many other places that were close by. This is what we've done, though not every weekend, in the three years we've been here and we've really fallen in love with the area and now we even like Napoli! However, I still remember when we first got orders to our assignment, there really wasn't a lot of good information about the local area. I hope to change this with this blog.
